GOTTA HAVE HEART!
Mixed Media
January 22 - March 4, 2010
'Gotta Have Heart' is the theme for the art exhibition at the Scharffenberger gallery, by three local artists. It spans the month of February and Valentine's day.
XENIA KING became interested in the heart shape, first by a collection of rocks provided by friends, and later from those found in the nearby creek and displayed on her deck and in the house. From these rocks a search started for heart shapes in nature and in the environment. Hearts are a symbol of love, deep emotion and an organ that pumps blood through our bodies and keeps us alive. This collection of photographs and digital images are the culmination of that search.
JUDY NELSON presents her Lampwork glass bead jewelry.
JODY WILLIAMS expresses a heart- felt theme with pen and ink Illuminated calligraphy.
